A leading international medical component manufacturer recently purchased VTI’s new Press-Side®38 Rapid Cycle Metallizing System to apply a physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating for a challenging shielding application. VTI worked closely with the customer to identify the coating specifications, design a customized metalizing system with proper masking to meet the requirements, and develop the shielding and coating process.
VTI’s new Press-Side®38 Rapid Cycle Metallizing System is similar to the Press-Side® 4000SL in footprint and operation, but has increased capacity and throughput by as much as 35%.
