Vergason Technology, Inc., along with their European partner jobaTEC, participated in the Automotive Interiors Expo 2016, held in Stuttgart, Germany May 31-June 2. The joint exhibit featured SuperChrome™ PVD Coating and the new SuperChrome™ SC-660 metalizing system. SuperChrome™ is a safe alternative for traditional chrome plating, having all of the benefits of decorative chrome plating without the harmful hexavalent chromium (Cr +6) compounds.
In addition to the exhibit, VTI founder and CEO, Gary Vergason, presented a paper entitled, “Continued Advancements in Decorative PVD Chromium Coatings”. In the paper, he discusses the advantages of SuperChrome™ PVD Coatings in regards to the Reach Initiative and ECHA.
The Automotive Interiors Expo is held annually in Stuttgart, Germany, and is a must for Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers. With a focus on car interiors, the show also has a strong emphasis on specialty finishes. It provides an opportunity for interior design teams and automotive component manufacturers to keep up with the rapidly changing world of materials, finishes and technologies.
